Fox & Moose
This was a bit of an interesting story…. so, I had been observing a red fox “mousing” (jumping high in the air coming down nose first through the snow in an attempt to capture rodents) for a few days in a specific area of Yellowstone National Park. It was quite a ways out (approx. 1/2 mile from the road) so after observing this behavior a few days I decided to hike out to within about 300 yards of it & tried to film it. I did manage to get some footage & was very focused on capturing more when I heard ice cracking in the nearby creek, this is nothing unusual in the winter on Soda Butte creek where there is a swiftly moving current. It did seem a little “extra” loud but I ignored it at first busy filming the red fox, then when it seemed unusual I looked up from my camera & saw a bull moose crossing the creek, I think I might have startled him & he defiantly startled me. I swung the camera off of the fox & onto the  moose, this is what happened next.
I didn’t even realized what I had caught on video until I got to my cabin that night!!
Pretty cool - enjoy!!
